Robotics Teams Looking For Sponsors

High School Students Take Part In Robotics Competition

KGO By Erik Rosales

– This year a record number of high school students and mentors are
working together to tackle the tough engineering challenge and having a
great time doing it.

The FIRST Robotics Competition provides a means for high school
students to express their ideas and share their experiences in a unique
and inspiring experience.

But as I mentioned the Mills High School team really needs a sponsor to continue the program.

If you’d like to help, donate, or sponsor the team, get a hold
of Christen Hanson or Todd Garon at Mills High School. Email is
mailto:csmall@smuhsd.org or you can call (408) 261-2144.

This year’s competition, ‘Rack and Roll’, mixes engineering
skills and strategy with a little fast thinking math. Champions from 37
regional competitions will compete in the FIRST championship at the
Georgia Dome in Atlanta, April 12-24.

The competition and finals will continue tomorrow, Sat. March
17th at San Jose State University Event Center from 9:30 am to 3 pm.
